Genuine nappa is a chrome-tanned leather known for its distinctly smooth and supple softness. It is named after its origins in Napa Valley, California, where its tanning process was first developed in 1875. Like other full-grain leathers, its natural texture and marks show on the surface; for this reason, only better-quality hides are used.
