This group of family-owned Italian mills was founded in 1876, and continues to be run by 5th generation family today. They are committed to improving their manufacturing ethics in environment, transparency and community. In terms of environment, they have begun by implementing better energy sources; they have one wind power plant, three photovoltaic plants, and two hydraulic augers. Together, these forms of green energy save 8 million kWh hours of what would otherwise be from conventional power. They have also replaced all lighting with LED systems, which are the most efficient. Furthering their environmental commitment, they are able to fully trace materials in all of their fabric lines. Finally, they support community through cultural events, academic conferences, and projects with universities. They adhere to the following compliances: OEKO TEX Standard 100 Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) GB 18401, the Chinese national safety technical code for textile products AZO-Free Dyes
