An oval deep blue faceted sapphire floats within a translucent hand-carved amethyst ring. The stone is channel-set, creating a thin line of bright gold that joins the sapphire blue with the amethyst purple. The ring, in turn, is lined in 22K polished gold featuring an opening through which to view the culet of the sapphire, allowing for as much light as possible to reflect and filter through the singular gemstone.
