Genuine Nappa is a chrome-tanned leather known for its distinctly smooth and supple softness. It is named after its origins in Napa Valley, California, where its tanning process was first developed in 1875. Like other full-grain leathers, its natural texture and marks show on the surface; for this reason, only better quality hides are used.
This garment was produced at a family-owned Italian factory. It was initially founded in 1957 as a traditional tailor shop, transitioning to become a factory in 1985. Today it is run by the founder’s daughter and her husband.
