"Save the Children is grateful for Gabriela's continued and generous support of our lifesaving programs to help children worldwide," said Janti Soeripto, president and chief executive officer of Save the Children US. "Gabriela's longstanding commitment goes beyond philanthropy; it's a testament to a visionary leader who not only supports our critical mission but also champions a sustainable and ethical approach to business."

“It is our fifth consecutive year giving our retail net proceeds to Save The Children. At Gabriela Hearst, we believe the month of December is a time to think of others, those near and far who need assistance and attention.

In the past, we have allocated specifically to Yemen (2019), Covid-19 (2020), Afghanistan (2021), Global Hunger Fund (2022), and this year to The Children Emergency Response Fund. It is an unfortunate reality that we have become aware that there are so many conflicts and catastrophe-affected areas putting in danger the most vulnerable – women and children – that we can’t just focus on a single effort. This is why supporting Save The Children (through us or directly) is of the most importance during this Holiday season.

When we understand that all children are our children, that they are the seeds that we have to save, protect, and grow for a conscious evolution of humanity that we are supposed to become – protecting children is protecting our future, and we are so grateful for the continuously relentless work of Save The Children.”
- Gabriela Hearst, Founder & Creative Director

Save the Children has supported the unique needs of children caught in armed conflicts and disasters for over 100 years. Today, more children need humanitarian assistance than at any other time since the Second World War. CEF is an essential resource as Save The Children responds to this increase in need. The Fund allows Save the Children to pool resources before emergencies happen, ensuring they can prepare for and deliver life-saving humanitarian aid for children and communities as soon as a crisis hits. The Fund also provides immediate relief when ongoing crises worsen, threatening children's lives and futures.

In 2022 alone, through CEF, Save the Children supported over 24.4 million people across 54 countries through $82.2 million in flexible funding, ensuring that children and families in crisis received humanitarian assistance where and when it was needed most. Notably, over $8.5 million was deployed even before a crisis occurred, helping Save the Children teams prepare for predictable emergencies, strengthening the resilience of communities, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its responses.

Save the Children is often the first or only child-focused organization working in the hardest-to-reach places, where it is toughest to be a child. Save the Children responds to the world's worst crises, including Israel/Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
