Genuine nappa is a chrome-tanned leather known for its distinctly smooth and supple softness. It is named after its origins in Napa Valley, California, where its tanning process was first developed in 1875. Like other full-grain leathers, its natural texture and marks show on the surface; for this reason, only better quality hides are used.
Cashmere is one of the most luxurious wools, with desirable drape, softness and wrinkle resistance. It is up to three times more insulating than regular wool, with lofty fibers that can be tightly knit into warm and lightweight fabric. Like all wool, it wicks moisture and allows skin to breathe. Cashmere is considered hypoallergenic, since it doesn’t have lanolin. While more delicate than other wool, cashmere garments will not lose their shape if properly cared for. This is due to the fiber’s natural stretch that allows garment to move with you and recover.
Merino wool fibers are extremely fine and flexible, making lightweight yarns that are soft on skin. It is lustrous and moves with body, creating comfort and luxurious drape. Like all wool, it is a renewable fiber. It provides warmth while simultaneously transporting moisture away from the body, so skin stays dry. It is naturally antimicrobial, so it resists odors and rarely needs washing. When you do wash Merino, it dries faster than standard wool. The exceptional durability of wool allows for long garment lifespan, and it can biodegrade when disposed into proper soil conditions.
