The cashmere collection brings together Gabriela Hearst's most considered knitwear and tailoring in fibers traceable from fleece to finished garment. Each piece is made in limited quantities from cashmere sourced through partners practicing low-impact processing, then knit or woven in Italian and Uruguayan ateliers. The range spans womenswear and menswear featuring: long-line cardigans and ribbed turtlenecks, cable knit sweaters, cashmere dresses, knit skirts, tailored pants, jackets and coats. Cashmere-silk blend shirts sit alongside heavier outerwear weights, so the collection can see you through the changing seasons.
Gabriela Hearst has built the cashmere program around traceability. Yarns come from mills with documented animal-welfare and water-use standards, and a significant portion of the knitwear is produced with Manos del Uruguay, the cooperative of Uruguayan women artisans whose work has defined the house since its first collection. The palette stays disciplined throughout, ivory, camel, chocolate, navy, black, and bordeaux, so pieces bought across seasons continue to work together. A cashmere turtleneck reads as a clean base under a double-breasted wool suit and a knit midi dress sits under a long coat with leather boots for cozy elevation.
