Epona Blazer

Named for the Celtic horse goddess, the Epona is a tailored jacket built on strength and quiet authority. It is cut in woven wool with a clean shoulder line and a sculpted waist, the silhouette reading close to the body without restriction, with sleeve lengths and lapel proportions drafted to complement a range of frames.

Construction follows the house's tailoring discipline: hand-finished seams, a structured canvas interior, and fabric milled to hold its shape across years of wear. Made in Italy in keeping with the house's atelier sourcing, the Epona has become one of Gabriela Hearst's signature silhouettes, drawing on the designer's Uruguayan upbringing and the European tailoring tradition, resulting in a jacket with masculine architecture and feminine cut, produced in limited quantities to protect the integrity of the make.

The Epona pairs naturally with high-waisted trousers in matching wool as a full suit, or breaks apart over a fine knit and straight-leg denim. This is a jacket made to be worn often and kept for years.
