Silk Dresses
The silk dress collection balances fluid movement with the clean, considered shapes that define Gabriela Hearst. Silk is used across a range of weights, from fine charmeuse with a soft, luminous finish to crepe de chine and twill with more body. Deadstock silk reclaimed from mills is also used throughout the collection, giving existing fabrics a place in new designs. Seams are kept purposeful and hems are finished by hand, allowing the character of each fabric to remain visible.
Silk women's dresses range from bias-cut slip styles that follow the body to fuller silhouettes gathered at the waist. Long sleeves, soft cowls and clean high necklines recur across the collection, while silk gowns extend the fluidity of the fabric into floor-length silhouettes. Midi and maxi lengths offer a more understated expression of the same approach. Colours move through ivory, black, chocolate and deeper tones, alongside considered prints that follow the shape of each dress.
