The Brigita Slip Dress is a longer interpretation of the house's Bidget Dress, cut from 100% silk satin in a soft light blue. The V-neck slip silhouette is drawn close to the body through the bodice and released into a fluted skirt, with a low-cut back and slender straps that frame the shoulder line. A raw hem finishes the piece with quiet restraint.

Part of Gabriela Hearst's commitment to sustainable luxury, this luxury silk dress is constructed in Italy from fluid silk satin selected for its weight, drape, and natural sheen. The bias-fluid cut moves with the body, and the invisible zipper preserves the clean line of the back.

Sustainable Materials

The Brigita Dress pays homage to Tempérance XIV, the fourteenth Triumph of the Major Arcana. Crafted in cashew suede with invisible bonded seams.

Suede is a soft leather that is split from the underside of the hide, creating a velvety napped finish. While its characteristics depend on the type of animal, the tanning process and thickness, most suede is quite pliable.

This family-owned Italian factory has been operated by 3 brothers since 1989. They produce luxury leather products and carefully select tanneries to ensure highest quality. With value for craftsmanship and community, they offer an apprentice program for workers aged 18-27; the program improves their workforce, creates economic opportunity, and preserves craft expertise.

In March 2020, the factory installed solar panels and moved its operations closer to a wastewater recycling facility.
