The Nina Bag reimagined: the house's signature top-handle silhouette wrapped in hand-woven cotton macrame over ivory Nappa leather. The textile draws on a painting by Haitian artist Levoy Exil, whose work carries spiritual meaning within the Vodou tradition, translated into a patchwork of textures by Bolivian artisans in hand crochet and macrame. The full collection took 31 artisans more than 5,000 hours to complete.
The Nina silhouette is finished in 100% Nappa lambskin with a rose gold turnlock closure and a leather-lined interior compartment. Produced in limited quantities and rooted in the Uruguayan-inspired, women-led cooperative model that defines the Gabriela Hearst handbag program, it's a special edition piece for the long-term collector.
