Menswear Fall 2025

The Gabriela Hearst Fall 2025 menswear collection presents innovative and elevated materials crafted into soft but sleek silhouettes.

The spirit of the designs was inspired by archaeologist Marija Gimbutas’s 1991 book The Civilization of the Goddess. Gimbutas studied the Neolithic cultures of Old Europe and used archaeological findings such as pottery and figurines to deduce that these were female-led societies in which men played a supportive, rather than oppressive, role.

The season’s color palette was informed by one of Gabriela’s watercolor paintings and includes deep, warm shades of burnt sienna, rust, antelope orange, burgundy, chocolate and golden birch. Classic black and white pieces and touches of blue found in faded indigo or cobalt denim round out this season’s offering.

Each look presents a variety of supple knit and woven textures put together in complementary colors. Up-cycled Mink found in vintage topcoats, cut and pieced together to create new garments, adds a softness to sharp, fitted tailoring and slim recycled cotton denim pieces. A new technique that knits cashmere and shearling together into a cable knit sweater is paired with suede trousers and accessories. Merino wool is spun into extra fine sweaters and cashmere into a tactile boucle fabric. The feel of calf outerwear is enhanced by recycled cashmere wadding, nappa linings and shearling or suede trims.

Soft but streamlined cashmere and wool tailoring and shirting are detailed with nappa and suede accents and are carefully constructed with hand-finished seams. Suiting comes in pinstripe cashmere flannel made with colors of the collection and speckled yarn crafted into knits to match the pinstripe. Short, fitted trucker jackets lined in cashmere are worn with matching relaxed-fit jeans that come in a variety of materials from up-cycled cashmere corduroy to leather, suede and dyed or washed denim.

The new EcoWash True Denim assortment features 100% recycled cotton denim, which comes in both natural indigo and a white that is then garment-dyed in the season’s colors. The dying process, where the pieces are hand-treated with an ecological wash, uses significantly less electricity than the normal industrial manufacture of denim. The water use is circular, as it is filtered and reused throughout the different stages of creating the material.

The accessories come in the same soft shades, silhouettes and textures as the ready to wear. These include the new unstructured unisex hobo shoulder bag in cashmere suede, Ohio sneakers with a recycled sole and Nina Chelsea boots in supple nabuck and suede and the Adler belt in vegetable-dyed vachetta leather. Gabriela Hearst also introduces a collaboration with the historic Neapolitan tie-makers E. Marinella in complementary rich colors to the Fall collection. The silk faille and silk wool fabrics are up-cycled from remnants of E. Marinella’s archive.
