Gabriela Hearst announces the opening of an exclusive retail installation at Le Bristol in Paris. For the second time, the residence at the hotel’s ground floor boutique will host a standalone Gabriela Hearst space, which will be the Maison’s exclusive retail location in Paris. Coincidentally, the retail installation will be launched at a time that marks a milestone year for both Gabriela Hearst and Le Bristol, which will celebrate their 10th and 100th anniversary respectively.
In line with the Maison’s commitments to sustainability and craftsmanship, the space was entirely re-imagined for the occasion, echoing the Gabriela Hearst flagship store designs in New York, Los Angeles and London.
It features custom furniture and fixtures commissioned by Gabriela Hearst and created by designer-makers Benji Gavron and Antoine Dumas of Gavron Dumas Studio, with natural-toned linen wall coverings and reclaimed local French oak display shelves. Gavron Dumas Studio furniture collection was born from three design principles: the timber must be sourced sustainably, the timber must be sourced locally, and the furniture must be handmade by local artisans.
The store will include pieces from Gabriela Hearst women’s collection – including ready-to-wear, fine merino wool and cashmere knitwear, fine jewelry as well as small leather goods. The retail installation will also offer an assortment of the Gabriela Hearst handbag collection, specifically the Nina, the Demi, the Diana and the Leonora, including one-of-a-kind exclusive handbags pieces
ABOUT GAVRON DUMAS STUDIO
Gavron Dumas Studio is a full-service design atelier founded by Antoine Dumas and Benji Gavron. The two met six years ago and quickly became great friends through their shared love of craftsmanship, form and material. Antoine and Benji’s collaborative creations have resulted in a growing collection of furniture and one-of-a-kind retail interiors. Their design process is focused around accentuating the beauty of raw large-scale material and sustainable production, working almost exclusively with reclaimed timber. Central to their studio practice, each work is crafted by hand and treated as a functional and sculptural art piece with its own unique narrative.
